At LSS, we thrive on unique and specialist installations and this project for new customer Baxter Freight was no exception. This time, we had the exciting opportunity to dive into one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports: Padel.
Working alongside Baxter Freight, we unloaded and assembled a FlexiPadel movable base system, manufactured by Padel Galis in Valencia, Spain. The modular court arrived in Bournemouth, where our team assisted with unloading and installation. Using our crane and on-site expertise, Tim and the crew carefully pieced the system together, preparing the structure for the next phase of the Padel court build.
What is Padel?
Padel is a dynamic and sociable racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. Players compete in doubles on an enclosed court. It’s about one-third the size of a tennis court, making the game fast-paced and accessible to all skill levels. It’s especially popular in Spain and Latin America, and its popularity is now rising rapidly in the UK.
Padel courts break from tradition by featuring glass and mesh walls that players use strategically during matches. To ensure top performance and safety, the surface must be built with precision to meet international standards, making expert installation essential.
About the FlexiPadel Base
Padel Galis’s FlexiPadel system brings modularity and mobility to the forefront, allowing courts to be installed temporarily or semi-permanently, no heavy groundworks required. It’s ideal for events, trials, or sites where flexibility is essential. Each section of the court base is designed to interlock and provide a stable, level platform for the full Padel court system to be constructed upon.
Our Role
LSS handled the offloading of the court components and provided skilled support to assemble the base structure accurately and efficiently. The crane was essential for placing heavier elements, ensuring safety and speed during the install.
We’re proud to have contributed to this exciting project and look forward to seeing more Padel courts pop up across the UK as the sport continues to grow.
